Important Note to Applicants
  1. Application forms must be submitted ONLINE on or before 31 March 2018 (non-local students) and 30 April 2018 (local students).
  2. Course Choices are available at Courses page.
  3. Before submitting an application, please read the eligibility requirements carefully.
  4. Please prepare the following the supporting documents before submitting your online application (max. size: 1MB per upload in pdf format):
    1. HKID card / Passport (for non-local student only) copy;
    2. Report Card of most recent semester
    3. Financial Assistance
    * All documents are suggested to be scanned in black and white to keep a small file size. Make sure the information is clear enough to read.
    * Applicant’s full English name MUST be quoted in every page of your supporting documents.
  5. You will NOT be able to make any revisions to your application once it’s submitted. Please ensure all information you provided is correct before your submission.
  6. Late and incomplete applications will NOT be considered.
  7. Admissions will be based on the applicants’ academic results and seat availability of the applicants’ selected courses.
Personal Information Collection Statement
The information you provide to us will be used by the HKUST Summer Institute (hereinafter referred to as 'the Institute’) for all administrative and academic purposes. The Institute will treat your personal information as strictly confidential. If necessary, the Institute may provide such information to the University for administrative and academic purposes. The Institute will not disclose such information to any external body or organization unless with your consent or it is required to do so by law.
Note for non-HKID holders:
The student visa application process normally takes 6-8 weeks. Applicants are strongly advised to submit the online application as early as possible to avoid any delay on the visa application. If you are admitted to the program, conditional offer will be issued and further information will be provided to assist you in the visa application. The study visa will be issued at the discretion of the Hong Kong Immigration Department. Admission offers to non-HKID holders will be conditional subject to the students’ successful obtainment of the study visa.
